Wells Fargo Arena Open House Tour
The 17,000 seat Wells Fargo Arena held its
official
ribbon cutting and community open house to the
general public on July 12, 2005. The Wells Fargo Arena
is a part of the $217 Million Iowa Events Center, which also
includes the Hy-Vee Hall and Veterans Memorial Auditorium.

Wells Fargo Arena includes the following
features and specs:
- Wells Fargo Arena provides seating for 16,980 for center stage concerts,
16,285 for end-stage concerts, 16,110 for basketball, and
15,181 for hockey
- Wells Fargo Arena also includes 36 corporate suites, 20 loge boxes,
and 600 club seats
- Wells Fargo Arena will include an 180 seat restaurant overlooking
the downtown skyline and center court
- Wells Fargo Arena will be home to the AHL Iowa Stars
- Wells Fargo Arena's first official event will be Tony Hawk's Boom
Boom Huck Jam on July 14, 2005
- The arena portion of the Iowa Events Center cost $99 million
