CRST Headquarters Expansion

CRST Transportation is building an expansion to their headquarters in SW Cedar Rapids. The project is a $15 million, 3-story, 65,000 sq. ft. addition to their existing offices.

Not too shabby for a trucking company office, but what's up with the pink bricks and trim?

Strange, i went to their website and saw a similar style on a different building

Yeah, it doesn't come across very well in those pictures, but its actually black bricks with bright red trim. Still odd, but better than pink, haha.

Not sure why they have those colors when their actual trucks are white and gold...

The building used to be a Randall's grocery store so maybe that was the original color scheme? Not sure but, hey, it makes sense to me. They'll also be building a new maintenance facility elsewhere in the city to replace the one on 16th but the site has not been determined.
