Google Maps updated for Dubuque.

Google maps has been updated with a really recent satellite image. The rebuilt catfish creek bridges after the flood, Bee Branch Creek, and the rebuilt streets in the milwork district are very visible.

Too bad they didn't include the 45 degree angle view...

That might be soon.... about 2 weeks ago a plane was flying a grid over Sioux City for 3-4 hours one day, with a very thorough grid pattern covering the metro area. When I checked into the plane's background, it is used for aerial mapping & photography services. I noticed the next day it was headed for Dubuque and doing the same type of pattern. Whether it's Google or Microsoft I can't tell but it's definitely doing some type of mapping photography.

We also now have real time traffic reports on the 4 US highways.
