No big previously unknown developments here, but both Waterloo and C.F. just completed near-record and record fiscal years, respectively, in terms of new construction valuation. It's a sign of fairly robust economic activity, and some probable modest population growth as well, at least in C.F., which has added some population over the last decade. The better news is that these valuations do not even take into account some big and midsized projects that have not yet been issued permits, such as all of those buildings planned for downtown C.F.
