New Iowa City Gateway: Dubuque Street makeover

A proposed makeover for Iowa City's main artery of Dubuque Street that welcomes visitors past City Park, Hancher Auditorium, Sue Beckwith Boathouse, UI Campus, downtown, etc. has garnered local interest and developers have taken note. A local man, Ed Cole hopes to bring a few 3-5 star hotels to cater to Hancher events, UI sporting events, etc., condos, apartments, a few restaurants and green space, along with a new entrance ramp into the city. What are your thoughts?
