Kohls and TJ Maxx set to open at North Grand in the next year. A nice boost for this mall and hopefully the start of the full redevelopment promised several years back.

REALLY surprised this isn't going on South Duff, but maybe they've ran out of suitable room for big box stores like this. With that said, this is the saving grace for North Grand Mall that I didn't think they would be pulling out of the hat. With the exception of all of the student apartments, Ames' primary residential growth area has been to the north and northwest, so North Grand will be well positioned to take advantage of the new residents and their higher incomes.
